Consultant to Hackensack University Medical Center and Legacy Hospital Partners in their efforts to re-open Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood, Bergen County, New Jersey. Services involve consultation related to the submission of a certificate of need application to the New Jersey Department of Health & Senior Services, strategic planning on community involvement, and evaluation of strategic options to secure approval through all levels. Consultant to Bayonne VNA on the sale of the service area right to Essex County from their Medicare Certified Home Health Agency. Mr.Kostinas was responsible for the coordination, distribution, interviews selection and monitoring of the Request for Offers process and to secure highest and best offer for the asset. Mr. Kostinas also assisted with Transfer of Ownership and approval from NJ State Attorney General's Office . Closing was completed in 2011. St. Barnabas Health Care System
Consultant to St. Barnabas Health Care System on the sale of 4 nursing homes and approximately 220 skilled nursing beds. Mr. Kostinas was responsible for the coordination, distribution, interviews, selection and monitoring of the Request for Offers process which resulted in a $41 million Purchase Agreement and December 1, 2009 Closing . To process a second phase of asset monetization for in the identification of the highest and best offer for their remaining 4 long term care facilities which resulted in a $45 million Purchase Agreement and December, 2010 Closing. Liberty Health System
Consultant to Liberty Health System for the sale of Meadowlands Hospital to a proprietary entity. Activities included preparation and submission of certificate of need application and assistance to secure approval from the NJ State Attorney General's Office in compliance with the Community Health Asset Protection Act (CHAPA). Consultant to New Community Corporation on the sale of the Medicare Certified Home Health Agency. Mr. Kostinas was responsible for the coordination, distribution, interviews selection and monitoring of the Request for Offers process which resulted in the sale to VNA of Central Jersey in September, 2009. Consultant to Liberty Health System for the closure of Greenville Hospital. Activities included preparation and submission of certificate of need applications to close the Hospital. Assist with the preparation for presentations at the State Health Planning Board and Public Hearings required during the regulatory process. Mr. Kostinas continues to provide ongoing strategic planning services for their sale of Meadowlands Hospital and other related issues. Solaris Health System
Consultant to Solaris Health System for the evaluation of bids to purchase Muhlenberg Hospital. Subsequent to evaluation of bids it was determined that no offers were acceptable to meet the liabilities of Solaris related to Muhlenberg Hospital. Subsequent activities included assistance with the preparation and submission of certificate of need applications to close the Hospital. Assist with the preparation for presentations at the State Health Planning Board and Public Hearings required during the regulatory process. Virtua Health System
Consultant to Virtua Health System involving the relocation of the Hospital to a new site in Voorhees Township. Activities included the coordination, preparation and submission of the certificate of need application to relocate the Hospital. The full review process involved local and statewide public hearings, certificate of need approval and interaction with the Department of Health & Senior Services staff to monitor the eventual approval by the State Commissioner of Health & Senior Services. Consultant to Atlantic Health System (AHS) regarding the sale of Mountainside Hospital. Provided consultation to AHS with the selection of Merit Health System and subsequent regulatory process that included the certificate of need public hearing process and CHAPA review by the Office of the State Attorney General. Merit Health System is a privately owned proprietary health system based in Kentucky. Mr. Kostinas continues to provide ongoing strategic planning services to Atlantic Health System on a multitude of issues. |
